La Casa sull'Arno
Lungarno Soderini, 25, Firenze

The surrounding area
Located in San Frediano area , this district is generally not a main stop for first-time tourists here for few hours, being slightly off the "beaten track", so get ready to experience the true taste of Florentine life with the abundance of quaint artisan studios, local shops and traditional "botteghe", not to mention the cosy and select restaurants, vibrant and intimate wine bars scattered amongst charming piazzas.

Wherever your wandering may take you in San Frediano, be sure to leave time to slow down and savor the experience - you will soon feel like a resident rather than a tourist. However, all still within close walking distance is also Ponte Vecchio, Piazza Pitti, Piazza della Signoria and the central Santa Maria Novella station but also top artistic attractions such as Brancacci Chapel, best known for its masaccio frescoes. The apartment is located just outside the restricted traffic zone, making it easier for those coming to Florence by car.

My husband and I have stayed at La Casa sull'Arno 3 times, since 2022, for 2-5 weeks. It is a lovely apartment, overlooking the Arno, with fantastic views of Florence. Donatella and Gianni are gracious "5-star plus" hosts. If ever you have a question or a request, they are very responsive and happy to help. The apartment is stunning with its tasteful furnishings, gorgeous frescoes, well-appointed kitchen with "top of the line" appliances, attractive living room, large bedrooms, and sparkling bathrooms. They have thought of everything to make your stay elegant and comfortable. You will enjoy the vibrant San Frediano neighborhood and La Casa's close proximately to everything Florence has to offer.
I would give this place 6 stars if I could!

We fell in love the moment we walked in! In actual fact during the selection process, we were actually slightly concerned with their not being a single review on Vrbo. However, we had looked at so many properties, so we decided to go with our gut feeling and book anyway. It was by far one of the best based on the property's amenities, amazing views, abundance of natural light and superb furnishings. Well – we could not have been happier! We made the best choice ever! This was the perfect base for our party of 6 (3 couples). The location was awesome but the thing that we really appreciated most was the attention to detail and all the little personal touches: personalized stationery and room fragrance, a selection of liqueurs to make evening cocktails, quality linens and towels, not to mention the luxurious bathroom toiletries they provide. Everything is done so nicely and of the best quality too. We immediately felt at home and the whole experience was so relaxing and comfortable! All three bedrooms – even the sofa bed which we had considered to maybe be less comfy turned out to be just superb – just like sleeping on a quality double mattress! The quality of the marble in the bathrooms too, is just exquisite! The place exceeds the pictures online. What is more, we received a really friendly welcome at Check In and we were given a full tour of the apartment. They also have a collection of wonderful experiences available to discover Tuscany. We will most definitely be back!
Wonderful family holiday

We chose this beautiful Lungarno apartment for our family holiday for its river views and easiness for parking (just outside the traffic free zone or ZTL as it is known in Florence). The location allowed us to enter Florence and park just metres away and it made is so easy for unloading and loading the car. Our two kids loved the big bedroom and huge comfy bed and we even made arrangements for a hands-on pasta class on the evening we arranged. It was amazing. Truly one of our best meals in Italy and an absolute highlight of the trip! The kids loved every minute of it! There are some excellent little supermarkets, bakeries and grocery stores nearby too not to mention great family restaurants such as Berbere (pizza), Antico Ristori dei Campi (great Tuscan dishes) and Osteria Santo Spirito (pasta!). The washer and dryer were very much appreciated as were the amazing selection of pots and pans. We just loved making use of the incredible kitchen facilities to cook our family dinners. It was so nice to sit down for dinner and enjoy the view over the river. The area definitely feels less touristy and more authentic yet Ponte Vecchio is just a short walk away. We did have to call the host once as we had no clue how to turn on the showers! The knob was a bit complicated (we tried for at least 15 minutes with no success) but we received immediate assistance and within minutes we were all soaped up and showered! Once you know the hang of it, it was pretty easy!
Magic holiday!

Florence Luxury Home is my go to in Florence! I would stay here again in a heartbeat and you should too! The windows are so well insulated and with the bedrooms being located on the internal, getting a good night's sleep was no issue at all. This is a fantastic apartment with superb attention to every detail. It was nice to have Erika great us on arrival and answer all of our questions. The kitchen was great and had everything you need. Donatella always stocks her properties with such a wonderful supply: salt, pepper, oil, sugar, oil, vinegar, spices of all kinds, coffee capsules and you can even taste their family wine from Chianti! We had excellent wifi strength. Great views over the river and still very close to the centre. It was very convenient to have a well-stocked supermarket close by. There are some wonderful eateries nearby and vinaini (little wine bars) that offer platters of cured meats and an amazing selection of local wine- where the wine is served out of the traditional "bucchetta"–wine holes in the building's wall! So amazing, so authentic and so Florentine! If you have an opportunity to visit Florence for an extended period of time, I highly recommend renting this apartment. You will not be disappointed, and the location will give you a chance to experience "life as a local" in the delightful neighborhood surrounding the apartment. I hope to return to this beautiful city soon and have the opportunity to stay in this splendid apartment. A.S.

This AirBnB was perfect for our group of 3, each of us had our own full bedroom and bathroom. The place was very clean and well stocked, had a great location and very useful amenities like AC and a washer drier in unit. The location was very walkable to all of the main attractions in Florence but out of the way enough to be a quiet and calm spot to return to. Lastly the check in process was thorough and Erika/Donatella were helpful and responsive, checking in multiple times throughout our stay and providing very useful recommendations for Florence.

I have nothing but positive things to say about this place and would absolutely stay here again if I go back to Florence!
