G9 Vasari View is an elegant urban oasis located in the quaint Oltrarno just a stone’s throw from Ponte Vecchio. Three gorgeous colourful bedrooms with en suite marble bathrooms, a bright living room and corner kitchen, this home away from home oozes charm, elegance, and tranquillity, representing the perfect base when visiting Florence.
G9 Vasari View is the latest addition to our hand-picked collection of unique luxury retreats in Florence. This beautiful property is located just 50 metres from the iconic Ponte Vecchio and is very close to the very charming Piazza Pitti and Piazza Santo Spirito. It has a first-class location in the very heart of the historic Oltrarno district which represents one of Florence’s most sought-after areas to experience Florence at its best.
This luxury apartment is located on the second floor of a lovely building (with lift) which dates back to the 1950's and is 1500 square foot. It can accommodate up to 6 guests in three double bedrooms all with beautiful en-suite bathrooms furnished entirely in quality Italian marble.
One enters the property’s elegantly furnished open-plan living room with comfortable sofa, armchair and a flat screen TV. This room also boasts a wonderful dining table and offers peaceful views over Boboli gardens and the historical Vasari Corridor, once used by the Medici family and powerful elite for travelling from one side of Florence to the other without being seen.
Adjacent to the living room is the well-equipped kitchen (including oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer). The most wonderful feature is that four of the property's beautiful windows look out directly onto the Vasari Corridor and Boboli gardens. Indeed, the apartment is very centrally located making it the perfect base to explore Florence, yet at the same time the apartment will provide you with a feeling of having escaped the frenetic city as you look across onto the beautiful and peaceful gardens.

The passageway would allow the Medici family to move freely and undetected between the Palazzo Pitti and the government palace (Palazzo Vecchio), when, like most monarchs of the period, the family felt insecurity moving around in the public!

The Yellow Suite: the first room along the corridor. This delightful room boasts two twin beds (or one double on request) and has windows that look out over the Vasari Corridor and a garden courtyard (not part of the apartment) making the room very quiet.
The Red Suite: the second room along the corridor located next to the Yellow Suite. The Red Suite with double bed also looks out on to Vasari Corridor and internal garden below.
The Green Suite: our Master suite, with double bed and windows overlooking the vibrant Via Guicciardini.

Our family of six (my wife and I, two kids—eight and four—and my parents) stayed in this property for two nights before we drove out to Tuscany. I am a frequent visitor to Florence, and this is one of the best lodging experiences I have had in the city. The host was prompt and communicative, and when she learned we would arrive a couple of hours before check‑in, she not only secured our luggage in the apartment but also treated our family to a wine‑tasting with refreshments at a nearby wine bar—above and beyond! The apartment is exactly as shown in the pictures: clearly remodeled with top‑notch appliances and fixtures. Best of all is the location—less than a three‑minute walk from Ponte Vecchio and 10–15 minutes from all central shopping and museums. Highly recommended; we hope to return soon!
